The Florida State Seminoles took to the practice fields on an obnoxiously hot day in Tallahassee to close out preparation for Saturday's game against Syracuse. It's way too hot for October, go figure.
Austin Barron was still not present during Thursday's practice.
However, Rashad Greene, who Jimbo announced was cleared to participate in individual drills on Wednesday, was back in pads after suffering a concussion against Wake Forest last weekend. Greene, having suffered his concussion only five days ago, was without the typical blue visor as well, providing further optimism about his recovery. The media was not able to view walk-throughs, so I can't say for sure whether or not he was taking reps there, but he was participating in position drills.
Demarcus Christmas, Sean Maguire and Karlos Williams were again not dressed out.
With Williams out, Kermit Whitfield and Bobo Wilson took first team reps returning kicks, while Mario Pender and Travis Rudolph took second team reps at that position.
Rick Leonard spent time with the defensive tackles Thursday -- something worth keeping an eye on.
Jimbo Fisher will speak with the media following practice.
