The Florida State Seminoles began preparation Monday afternoon for Saturday's rivalry game against the Miami Hurricanes.
The 'Noles took the practice fields without pads, as it's the time of year when bangs and bruises are common.
Terrance Smith, Tyler Hunter, Dalvin Cook and Arthur Williams were not dressed out Monday, and Roberto Aguayo was not there. Kareem Are and Ryan Hoefeld also seemed limited. Smith seemed to have some kind of bandage on his knee, and was walking on it gingerly.
Austin Barron was back taking reps Monday, but still seemed limited, rarely going full-force into the bags during offensive line drills. Barron did snap the ball a couple times and go at the bags, but it wasn't a constant by any means. And cross training continued, with both Roderick Johnson taking reps at left tackle and Cam Erving taking reps at center. We did not see Hoefeld or Are take a single rep.
With no Aguayo, Jonathan Hernandez was kicking the field goals for FSU and actually made every attempt. Since Jimbo Fisher won't be speaking today, we won't know much about this until tomorrow, but I wouldn't be too concerned.
