Florida State football, recruiting news 11/13

Jeff Gammons

-Let's start with some big recruiting news where 2016 5 star QB Malik Henry will make his decision today between Florida State and Notre Dame. The confidence level from the FSU side is sky high, stay tuned throughout today for this news, would be a massive get for the Noles.

-Gary Smits of the Florida Times-Union says that the Florida State/Miami rivalry has lost some of its luster this season due to the off-field issues surrounding FSU.

-Tim Linafelt of Seminoles.com says that Duke Johnson is on a different level from any running back FSU has faced this season. Johnson is a huge key for Miami if they want to knock off the Seminoles.

-Jared Shanker of ESPN writes that Roberto Aguayo's fantastic play comes from a long history of humble, family support. Really great read, definitely take the time to do so. Aguayo is as important a player on this Seminole roster, but missed Monday and Tuesday's practices due to what Fisher said was for "rest". We'll find out today what Aguayo's status is for the Miami game on Saturday night.

-Jimbo Fisher tells Shanker of ESPN that he isn't for running up the score and playing prettier just to please the committee and everyone else in college football.

-More from ESPN as David Hale writes Miami QB Brad Kaaya is ready for his first taste of the Florida State/Miami rivalry. Kaaya will need to play a solid game and limit mistakes, which he's done well recently, to end FSU's 25 game winning streak.

-Matt Fortuna of ESPN writes that Miami's defense has played well recently. I'm confident that Winston and the Seminole offense will move the ball on the Hurricane's defense, turnovers however will be key in this match-up.
