Florida State football, recruiting news 11/14

Jeff Gammons

-Florida State received massive news when 2016 5 star QB Malik Henry committed to the Noles over Notre Dame and many others. Many think he is the best talent at QB since Jameis Winston....oh boy.

-Tim Linafelt of Seminoles.com writes that the Miami game provides an opportunity for many Noles' players to go back home and play in front of family and friends.

-ESPN argues whether Oregon or FSU would win on a neutral field. What are your thoughts?

-David Hale writes that true Freshmen are making big impacts for many ACC teams. Travis Rudolph, Dalvin Cook, Ermon Lane, and Lorenzo Featherston (amongst many others) have been huge for FSU this season.

-Andrea Adelson writes that Al Golden is still searching for that signature win as a head coach at Miami. Doesn't get any bigger than this for the Hurricanes this weekend.

-Could Brad Kaaya be as productive for Miami in the future as Jameis Winston has been for FSU? Matt Porter of the Palm Beach Post takes a look.

-As for my prediction: Miami is certainly playing fantastic football right now and are cooking on offense. Duke Johnson is easily the best back in the ACC and one of the best in the country and Kaaya is playing mistake free football. Still, part of me feels the Hurricanes' winning streak is a result of terrible competition (Cincy, VT, UNC). Florida State will present a much tougher task than those teams, but a week off for Miami should have them prepared. FSU played well defensively against UVA and must limit (will not stop) Duke Johnson and force Kaaya to beat them. I'm not convinced he can and I think the FSU offense will be fine against the Miami defense. Give me Florida State pulling away in the 4th quarter aided by a few Kaaya turnovers. Florida State wins 37-24.
