Redshirt Sophomore linebacker Ukeme "Markuss" Eligwe has been dismissed from the FSU football team, according to a report from NoleDigest, of the Fox Sports/Scout network. Eligwe was in the midst of recovering from a Lisfranc injury suffered during the offseason, and the report says that he has been dismissed due to a "violation of team rules."
Eligwe was a member of the 2012 signing class and redshirted as a freshman. On FSU's 2013 championship team, he was a standout special teams player who was also in the Jack linebacker/defensive end rotation, seeing snaps mostly at end of games. Eligwe was a 4 star recruit out of Stone Mountain, GA.
The linebacker practiced Monday, but was not spotted Tuesday, and Jimbo Fisher did not mention him when he discussed the linebacker position and its health Wednesday evening during the Jimbo Fisher call-in show.
More information will be available at Tomahawk Nation as it becomes available.
