Florida State football, recruiting news 11/7

Andy Lyons

-Tim Linafelt of Seminoles.com writes that Jameis Winston has seen a new role emerge for this season's Florida State squad. Really great read from Tim. You also get to find out what Winston's favorite song is.

-David Hale at ESPN examines Florida State's biggest weaknesses via some interesting stats and numbers. Hale always delivers a knowledgable and enlightening piece.

-More from ESPN as Andrea Adelson says Virginia is fighting for its bowl eligibility life. I don't see UVA getting to a bowl game this year after a disappointing back half of the season following an impressive start.

-Streaking the Lawn, Virginia's SB Nation site, previews their game against Florida State. Always interesting to see opposing teams break down the Noles from their vantage point.

-As for my prediction for tomorrow night's game I think the Cavaliers will come in and play extremely hard fighting for their post season lives. They have a stingy defense with some surprising talent, that really gets after the quarterback. I'll be interested to see how FSU's o-line does against the UVA pass rush/blitz. However, FSU's offense has proven it can put points on anybody in a hurry thanks to a special quarterback and emerging young talent. On the flip side UVA's offense is pretty bad and their QBs are terrible. The Seminole defense has had some issues but I think they are improving and should hold well against this Wahoo offense. After a tight first quarter I think Florida State pulls away for a comfortable win in which Sean Maguire returns to action for mop-up duty. Florida State wins 41-17.
