Florida State football practice report: 12/1

Following their second consecutive undefeated regular season, the 'Noles returned to the practice fields to kick off preparation for the ACC Championship against Georgia Tech.

Following their victory against the Florida Gators, the Florida State Seminoles took to the practice fields Monday afternoon to begin preparation for the ACC Championship Game against Georgia Tech. The players were without shells.

Karlos Williams was not dressed out after suffering a concussion against the Gators on Saturday. Chad Mavety also looked limited, and missed the entire week leading up to Florida.

They skipped field goal work -- something I've never seen them do -- to put it extra work on special teams after Jimbo Fisher expressed his displeasure during today's press conference. It seems as if they've changed the back line of blockers during kick returns, now with Freddie Stevenson, Jeremy Kerr and Kevin Haplea leading the way. This is a big back line, and the staff made it clear that they want contact with that line.

Without Williams, the first team return team was back to Kermit Whitfield and Bobo Wilson, with Travis Rudolph and Rashad Greene working as the second team.

Jimbo Fisher will not speak with the media following Monday's practice, but we should get a few players.
