-Four star JUCO defensive tackle DJ Jones (6'2, 310) will make his final decision today between Florida State, Ole Miss, and Alabama. Jones is the #1 rated prospect at his position at the JUCO level and is currently committed to FSU. However, many expect him to flip with Ole Miss being the likely destination. If he flips it will be a tough loss for the Noles as he is a very good player that will make an immediate impact next season.
-Brendan Sonnone writes Nile Lawrence-Stample could provide a huge lift for the FSU defense if he can return from his torn pectoral injury to play against Oregon. Keep an eye on Dustin's practice reports for further updates on NLS's progression.
-ESPN writes that turnovers could be the deciding factor between Mariota and Winston when they face each other in the Rose Bowl.
-Tyson Agler of the Oregonian says the Ducks are prepared to face Jameis Winston on defense due to playing tough quarterbacks in the PAC 12 all season long. If Oregon thinks Winston is on the same level as the QBs they have faced thus far, they're in deep trouble. Oregon has not really faced any great quarterbacks in 2014 and Winston will be the ultimate test. There are some nice quotes praising Winston from Oregon's best defensive back.
-Martin Rickman of Sports Illustrated hands out some superlatives for the 2014 college football regular season. Funny read.
