FSU signed four players in the early signing period - but it is unclear if Norbertas Giga from Lithuania will actually make it to Florida State - and considering how much the staff was still recruiting 2014 guys, it was obvious that they weren't done.
This afternoon Kedar Edwards, a 6-5 wing from State Fair Community College in Missouri committed to the Noles. He's currently a freshman, and will have 3 years of eligibility remaining.
Edwards, a New York City product, originally committed to LIU Brooklyn out of high school. However, just like Xavier Rathan-Mayes' experience in North Carolina, Edwards' academics were called into question after he attended an academy in Florida. He wasn't able to enroll at LIU, and went the JUCO route instead.
The knock on Edwards in high school was his lack of an outside shot. ESPN's scouting report stated that he "doesn't project as a high percentage shooter..." So all he's done in JUCO is shoot 45% from the arc. Edwards has averaged 16.2 points and 7.8 rebounds.
Edwards chose FSU over Depaul, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and others.
State Fair CC and Edwards are fresh off a Region 16 title and have locked up a spot at Hutch - Edwards is a 6-5 high motor wing
