The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Florida State linebacker Telvin Smith with the 144th pick, in round five. He is the seventh Seminole to be picked in the 2014 NFL draft.
Out of Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes, Smith has been a playmaker all of his life. But it was really in 2013 that he became more of a complete linebacker, taking on blocks, and playing with discipline. Smith is incredibly quick, instinctive, and if he can put on more weight on his long frame, he can be an excellent 4-3 WILL linebacker in the NFL. Smith is one of the most passionate players ever to come through Florida State.
Here are his accolades via his FSU bio.
