Consensus All-American punter earning first-team All-American honors from the Walter Camp Foundation and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA), as well as ESPN.com and Rivals.com...selected first-team All-ACC (the first in FSU's 20 years of league membership)...winner of the College Football Performance Awards 2011 Performer of the Year Award...was the CFPA Performer of the Week once and a five-time honorable mention choice in 2011Football Bowl Subdivision national leader with a 47-yard average...punted 57 times for 2,681 yards...had 24 punts of 50 or more yards with at least one 50-plus yarder in nine of 13 games...23 punts downed inside the 20 which included 14 inside the 10-yard line - a staggering total...forced seven fair catches...finished his career as FSU's all-time leader with a 44.2 average (168-7,424), smashing Rohn Stark's previous mark of 42.7...ranks fifth all-time in ACC for career punting average...set the single-season school record for average (47.0)...did not have a punt blocked in 168 career attempts...with the help of an outstanding coverage unit, Powell's 41.28 net average also ranked second in the nation... six of his punts carried 60 yards or more, including a career-long 69-yard effort against No. 1 Oklahoma... averaged 50 yards or more in four games (Oklahoma, Maryland, Miami, Virginia) with a school record single-game high average of 54.8 against the Hurricanes... in all, 63 percent of his punt attempts went unreturned...first Seminole punter to earn All-American distinction since Stark in 1981...selected ACC Specialist of the Week three times, leading all conference players in that category this season.

Seminoles starting punter the last two seasons...improved his average by nearly three yards this year (38.3 to 41.1)...only surrendered two touchbacks in 2013 and four in his career...12 of his 42 punts were downed inside the 20-yard line...best game came versus Duke in the ACC Championship where he had a career long 59 yard punt and two of his four punts downed inside the 20 while playing in his hometown of Charlotte...tied a career high with six punts, with two downed inside the 20, at Wake Forest...matched career high with six punts for a career high 257 yards (42.8 average) versus Auburn in the BCS National Championship Game including a 55-yard punt...had six punts of 50 yards or more...did not have a punt blocked.
