Florida State football, recruiting news 08/21

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

-Florida State has started its preparation for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, writes ESPN's Jared Shanker. Pretty nice recap of the Seminoles' fall camp here.

-CBS Sports released its first and second team pre-season all-american teams recently. The Noles placed four on the first team and three on the second team. Anyone get snubbed in your opinion?

-Alligator Army takes a look at UF's fall camp thus far. Andy Hutchins gives his impressions of the 2014 Gator team based on practice reports.

-Clemson lost its starting running back for the season yesterday in Zac Brooks due to a foot injury. Clemson is looking to replace Roderick McDowell and his 1000+ rush yards from a season ago. As a result, senior D.J. Howard looks to be the go-to back now for the Tigers.

-Former UF quarterback Jacoby Brissett was named NC State's starter at the position. The Wolfpack look to improve on the horrendous 3-9 (0-8 ACC) season in 2013. There's nowhere to go but up, right?

-The extremely funny and well run Syracuse SB Nation site, Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician, says Syracuse will win seven games in 2014. Why? Click on the link and find out.

-Lastly, for those of you who were waiting for me to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, I did do the challenge and donated to the cause as well. Unfortunately, Facebook won't allow me to embed the video here for you all to see it. I do encourage you to donate to the cause and help end this terrible disease. Feel free to post your videos here or in a fan shot, because sometimes, we all deserve to feel like championship winning head coaches and have ice dumped on our heads. However, please remember the true intentions of this challenge and do the best you can to contribute if at all possible.
