Florida State football, recruiting news 08/28

Streeter Lecka

-Let's start with some recruiting news. 4 star DT Darvin Taylor (6'2, 300 lbs.) will announce his decision today at around 1:30 PM ET. Most think he will choose the Seminoles over others such as NC State and Virginia Tech. Keep an eye out for this today.

-ESPN has a really great piece on RB Karlos Williams. Seems like Williams has really turned a corner in his preparation, something that could signal big things for the Senior in 2014.

-More from ESPN as Jared Shanker writes, "Dallas to Dallas" will define FSU's season this year. If the Noles come up short of the title game would you guys view that as a disappointing season?

-Brendan Sonnone writes that Dalvin Cook will make an immediate impact his first year at FSU. I tend to agree as I feel Cook could start now for the Noles and produce a 1000 yard season by himself. Obviously, Karlos Williams is still ahead of him, but both will be counted on in the Seminole backfield.

-Shakin the Southland gives their take on the 2014 ACC season.

-State of the U also breaks down the ACC on their site. I always enjoy seeing what various SB Nation sites think of the Seminoles.

-Sports Illustrated provides its predictions for the 2014 college football season. There are some interesting picks in this article, one has me scratching my head however. Take a look.
