-Florida State landed physical, four-star wide receiver Auden Tate as expected yesterday. Bud Elliott breaks down Tate as a prospect and how can be used at FSU.
-The Seminoles finished the 2013 season at 8th nationally in merchandise royalties. That's a thirteen spot jump from the #21 ranking it received in 2012. It's amazing what a difference having a national championship team and a Heisman Trophy winner makes in sales for a school. With another excellent season I expect FSU to make another jump this year in merchandise sales.
-ESPN takes a look which Seminole great had the best single season in school history. What's your opinion? Sanders, Ward, Weinke, or Winston?
-Jared Shanker of ESPN looks at the Seminoles experimentation of the front seven during the first two days of Fall camp. Whatever the final rotations end up being, I think the Noles really benefit from having a fantastic secondary. With the trust FSU has in its shutdown corners with putting them on an island, they can do more tactically in the box to aid the front seven if needed. A big luxury, in my opinion, that will lead to another excellent season on the defensive side of the ball.
-Athlon Sports asked other league coaches to comment on Florida State and other ACC schools. This is a cool yearly feature.
-I saved the best for last. Cowboys Ride For Free, the Oklahoma State SB Nation site, explains why Oklahoma State will defeat Florida State on August 30th. I think this article is based on almost purely hope, as statistically looking at the match-ups and returning starters spells doom for the Cowboys. Do you think Okie State has a realistic chance in beating the Noles game one?
