Florida State football practice report: 9/16

The 'Noles continued Clemson preparation Tuesday afternoon.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Florida State Seminoles once again took to the practice fields Tuesday afternoon, this time during a nice steady drizzle. However, it wasn't enough of a storm to keep the players inside during the entirety of practice.

Once the players were finished with their walk-through and stretches, they headed outside to continue practice.

Justin Shanks was the only player not dressed during Tuesday's session.

Nile Lawrence-Stample was in full pads and fully participating in position drills, although he wasn't a part of the defensive walk-through. I spent some time watching the defensive tackle drills to get a better grasp on how he and Eddie Goldman are looking after coming back from their recent injuries, and I was a little surprised to see that Lawrence-Stample seemed to be moving a little faster than Goldman. This is pure observation, and Goldman was the one working with the defense during walk-throughs.

The offense continues to show its versatility, moving receivers all over the field, and even sending some of the back out wide. They looked sharp.

Fisher will speak with the media following practice, as will a few players.
