Weather: The forecast for this game is much like it was for the last home game. There's a 40% chance of rain at kickoff decreasing to 10% by 10 PM. Bring the ponchos, again.

The Spread: FSU opened at 20 and then, well, a bunch of stuff happened. Before last night's news, the spread was around 14.

Really not hard to search for a story line in this game, win or lose. It's been a crazy week for the players, the coaches, and the fans. The game itself, the most important game in the division, has been relegated to an afterthought. But the players still have to, you know, play the game and the coaches have to coach it. The events this week could serve as a catalyst for great play or quite the opposite. The only thing for sure, there will be plenty of 'Nole fans on hand to find out.

Other games

Nothing too crazy in the noon slot but we do get some decent ACC action. VT looks to recover after a loss to ECU. They get to deal with Georgia Tech and the triple option. We also get Iowa/Pitt. This game might not be safe for human consumption.

In the afternoon, we get Virginia at BYU. UVA beat BYU last year. This year, UVA will be one of the toughest opponents on BYU's scheduler. This is not hyperbole and BYU is in the top 25. UF beat Kentucky in triple OT last weekend. The narrow escape has UF fans a little freaked out about the road game in Tuscaloosa.
