-Florida State remained at #1 in both the AP and Coaches polls released this week. Oklahoma State checked in at #24 in the AP Poll and Notre Dame is ranked at #8 in both. Potential Top 10 match-up brewing between the Noles and Irish.
-Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated writes a fantastic piece on how Florida State showed it was more than just one player Saturday night.
-ESPN's Jared Shanker writes that Sean Maguire stepped up on a big stage for the Noles. I have to agree as Maguire impressed me Saturday night. Did he have some obvious errors in judgement? Yes. Did he make some mistakes? Of course, but for his first start to come against who it did I was impressed with the toughness he showed to help gut out a win for his team.
-Andrea Adelson writes that Florida State saved the ACC by defeating Clemson.
-Florida State's win over Clemson is saving all sorts of people apparently. Dan Wolken of the USA Today writes that FSU's win saved the playoff committee from a major headache.
-Shakin the Southland, Clemson's SB Nation site, give their thoughts on Clemson's loss to the Noles. From a Clemson perspective you have to be severely disappointed in losing this game. A chance to beat a weakened #1 FSU team in Tallahassee and the Tigers blew it. 3-7 in the red zone is a tough pill to swallow and Clemson will look to regroup.
