Storms rolled into Tallahassee as Florida State football practice neared Thursday afternoon with the threat of lightning, but again, FSU's indoor practice facility proved to be crucial.

The Seminoles never slowed and continued practice inside, wrapping up preparation fo their home opener against The Citadel.

Markus Eligwe, Kain Daub (boot) and Matthew Thomas were not dressed out, and P.J. Williams was not in attendance.

Chris Casher was fully dressed, but didn't participate in any of the team's walk-throughs. Ronald Darby, who was fully dressed and taking the first team reps during the walk-through, also spent some time on the stationary bike.

The offense seems to showcase a little more Jesus Wilson each day he participates in walk-throughs, and he took reps at the "Z" wide receiver position on Thursday. Wilson has also seen some reps returning kicks, but mostly on the second team alongside Mario Pender.

Kareem Are continues to get a lot of work with the starting line while Cam Erving spends a little time with the centers. But as we've said before, this is all a matter of preparation. Erving will definitely start on Saturday.

Along with the revamped kick coverage team, it looked as if Roberto Aguayo was working on hang time when kicking off, hitting the roof a number of times.

The defense spent quite a bit of time preparing for the read option on Thursday, as The Citadel is definitely not a team that's going to get it done in the air.

Jimbo Fisher will speak with the media in the Turf Room following Thursday's practice.
