The biggest recruiting weekend of the year got off to a great start tonight as Malik Beasley, a consensus top 50 recruit, committed to Florida State. Beasley joins top 100 guard Terance Mann on what is shaping up to be a potential top 10 national recruiting class.
I am truly blessed to say that I have committed to Florida State University http://t.co/pVYwILfv3k

Beasley is a 6-4, 185 pound guard out of Alpharetta, Georgia, and was one of the biggest movers in the country after his game exploded this summer. He is a shooting guard who can score at all three levels. With his offensive gifts he needs to work on getting stronger, increasing his motor and ball handling skills, and developing a more aggressive attack. Defensively, he has the tools to join the Snaer/Thomas school of perimeter defenders.
Beasley is a 5* (No. 24) at 247, a 4* (No. 51) at ESPN, and a 4* (No. 43) at Yahoo.
This is the 3rd straight year that FSU has landed one of the top players from Georgia (Jarquez Smith, Phil Cofer, Beasley).
With two gifted scoring guards committed, the Noles now turn their attention to 5* small forward Dwayne Bacon who is also in town this weekend. Stay tuned.
