Florida State is coming off of a 29-24 victory against the Miami Hurricanes. Despite the 2-2 record of the Hurricanes, the rivalry win will be a factor in where the Noles end up later today.

In the AP poll, FSU entered this week at #12. The only team ahead of them to lose was #10 Oklahoma which Florida State will jump. Something to keep an eye out for is whether #18 Michigan leaps in front of Florida State after shutting out #13 Northwestern 38-0.

The Seminoles fair much better in the coaches poll where they are currently ranked #8. No one ahead of them lost, and it is hard to see #21 Michigan jump that far ahead of Florida State. Depending on how the coaches value the rivalry win by the Noles and #7 Utah's narrow six point victory over #22 Cal in Utah, there is a slim chance they move up a spot.

Expect the Seminoles to stay put in both polls with the potential to move up one spot at the most.
