It's easy to write off a 2-3 football team on the road in Doak. But don't think Louisville will be a pushover. The spread has settled right around where the Miami game was a week a go. Louisville has talent on the defense and a fast, mobile QB with a big arm.  Patience in the running game and a playbook that includes Everett Golson's legs will be important again this week for the offense. For the defense, keep everything in front and see if Louisville can execute the short game. Goals: Win the turnover battle, keep opening up the playbook, execute in short yardage situations/red zone, win 3rd downs on defense.

Other Games:

The afternoon slot is ridiculous. I hope your post game tailgate includes a TV.  Number 10 Alabama travels to 9 Texas A&M. Alabama's lone loss remains the luck filled game for Ole Miss. Texas A&M remains undefeated but their best win is 4-2 Mississippi State. Alabama is the 4 point favorite. At least one SEC team will get knocked from the top 10, maybe.

Michigan State travels to Michigan. In case you haven't been watching, Michigan is good again. They have given up 14 points in the last 5 games with the last three being shut outs. That's insanity. Michigan State has struggled against poor competition. They are likely enjoying a high ranking thanks to a win over what was at the time number 7 Oregon. Turns out, Oregon doesn't football anymore. Not really sure how Michigan is only a TD favorite. This game has potential to get ugly for Michigan State.

Miami (FL) is now officially on TANK WATCH. How the Hurricanes handle the rest of the season after another disappointing rivalry loss might decide Al Golden's future. Their first test on the road to recovery is a home game against  struggling Virginia Tech. Miami is actually favored but who will be surprised if they leap off the edge into the abyss? No one.

The ranked goodness continues in the evening games. Florida travels to Baton Rouge to play Leonard Fournette and the rest of LSU. UF finally settled on a QB. Will Grier led the Gators to an impressive win against Ole Miss. Now, he's sitting for the foreseeable future for taking an undisclosed PED. But the Gators still have an excellent defense and an experienced QB in Treon Harris. How much UF will miss Grier is yet to be seen. If the Gators can get out of Death Valley with a win, they have a good shot at going undefeated.

For the rest of the night games, you'll be on upset watch. Notre Dame is around a 7 point favorite over USC. It will be interesting to see how USC responds to the firing of head coach Steve Sarkisian. Your next most likely upset bid is Arizona State at Utah. That's number 4 Utah to you, sir. ASU is around a TD dog on the road. Utah  is playing well with wins over Michigan, Oregon, and Cal. With some luck, they could be headed to the Pac-12 championship game undefeated. Woah.

With 5 wins in the bag, Florida State remains in the hunt for a playoff spot. They'll need some teams to fail to help the cause. Read about who needs to notch an L this Saturday.
