Injury Report: Fisher said Dalvin Cook's hamstring is doing fine, but that he will not play due to a left ankle injury. Terrance Smith will remain out with an ankle as well, and Mario Pender is not yet ready. Marcus Lewis will sit with a concussion, and Derrick Kelly will not play either. Ryan Hoefeld (shoulder) is questionable.
The 'Noles went in shells today as is their Thursday tradition, practicing under mostly sunny skies and temps in the mid/low 80s.
Injured/Absent
For the first time since suffering a hamstring injury against Wake Forest, running back Dalvin Cook sat out a Thursday practice, with a brace on his left ankle. RB Mario Pender, who had been practicing this week, also stayed on the sideline. Starting center Ryan Hoefeld rode the stationary bike, as did Derrick Kelly. Linebacker Terrance Smith was on the bike as well.
Offense
It may mean nothing, but Sean Maguire took the first quarterback snaps in the portion we were allowed to view, with Golson throwing second and Deondre Francois third. Jacques Patrick once again got the first running back totes. Fisher said after practice that Patrick, Vickers, and Stevenson would be the RBs, adding about Patrick: "He's ready," and pointing out that this was about the time last year when Cook broke out.
The first-team OL was comprised of Rod Johnson, Chad Mavety, Alec Eberle, Wilson Bell, and Brock Ruble, left to right. The twos: Ethan Frith, Kareem Are, Corey Martinez, Joshua Peters, and Keith Weeks. Jeremy Kerr was not wearing a non-contact jersey, and despite a cracked toe, Auden Tate continues to practice.
Defense
Tyler Hunter is no longer wearing a non-contact jersey.
Special Teams
Roberto Aguayo's range isn't going anywhere-- he knocked a ball off the top of the upright from 50 yards out. The kick return team practiced against the onside kick.
