Despite Sean Maguire taking most of the first-team snaps under center in practice this week in preparation for Syracuse, Coach Jimbo Fisher has indicated that Everett Golson will likely start at quarterback for FSU, barring a change between now and Saturday. Questions about the status of Golson began during the fourth quarter of the Georgia Tech game last Saturday, when he absorbed a helmet-to-helmet hit.
When pressed Thursday evening about whether Golson will start on Saturday, Fisher confirmed that he was banged up, but replied, "We'll see--as of right now, yeah."
The FSU passing attack will look to feast on a Syracuse defense that is allowing 250.3 passing yards per game, the worst average in the ACC and 94th, nationally.
