Dalvin Cook will be out for the Syracuse game this Saturday, per Jimbo Fisher and the final injury report he relayed to the media in attendance on Thursday. This was announced after Cook missed his first full week of practice since suffering the hamstring injury against Wake Forest on October 3rd. However, Fisher said that Cook's hamstring has healed and that he is now dealing with a left ankle injury suffered in the loss to Georgia Tech.
Since the original instance of the hamstring strain, Cook had practiced every Wednesday and Thursday in the weeks leading up to Miami, Louisville, and Georgia Tech.
Cook has accumulated 1,037 rushing yards and 12 total touchdowns through FSU's first seven games this season. However, Cook seemed limited in the loss to Georgia Tech last Saturday, taking his first carry for 17 yards but only totaling 65 yards on his 16 carries after that.
With Mario Pender still ailing from the collapsed lung and ensuing infection that he suffered earlier in the season, both Jacques Patrick and Johnathan Vickers are likely to see carries for the 'Noles on Saturday.
