Florida State football, recruiting news: What has caused FSU's recent OL problems?

- Safid Deen of the Tallahassee Democrat relays Reggie Northrup's message that some of the younger Seminoles needed a wake-up call.

- Michael Burke of Troy Nunes is an Absolute Magician, the Syracuse SB Nation blog, seeks to answer the question of how much success Everett Golson will have against the Orange defense on Saturday including some film from Golson's last game against Syracuse.  With the status of Dalvin Cook in question for tomorrow's game, Golson may be asked to take on a larger role in the offense.

- Brendan Sonnone, FSU beat writer for the Orlando Sentinel, blames injuries and inexperience for the continuing problems that have been plaguing the Seminole offensive line.

Left tackle Roderick Johnson has been a constant for FSU, but at least two different players have filled every other position on the line at some time this season. As a result, linemen allowed an exorbitant amount of pressure on passing plays in recent weeks, and have accumulated a combined eight false-start penalties in the past two games.

- ESPN's Jared Shanker details the strong feelings that the warchant evokes in Syracuse cornerback Julian Whigham.

Recruiting: Cory Durden, a 2017 3* defensive tackle, recently announced that he will be postponing his commitment until this summer. Florida State is considered a front runner for Durden, who is high school teammates  with FSU commit Ja'len Parks, a 2017 4* DT.
