When Sean Maguire has started for Florida State, 'Nole fans haven't had much notice. Last year, Maguire earned his lone start when Jameis Winston was suspended for the first half of the Clemson game, a punishment that was extended to the full contest shortly before midnight the evening before kickoff. This week, FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher told members of the media that questions about previous starter Everett Golson's health went unanswered until -- you guessed it -- Friday night, mere hours before the Seminoles welcomed the Syracuse Orange.

This week will be another story entirely, as the quarterback controversy at Florida State is now quite real after Maguire led the 'Noles to an impressive 45-21 win over 'Cuse on what many thought could have been a down day for FSU.

The obvious questions ensued after the win over Syracuse. Namely: if Golson has recovered from a head injury, will he regain the starting role for the Seminoles' next game, a road trip to Clemson on Saturday, or did Maguire do enough to win the position?

Fisher was quite noncommittal in his post-game press conference. When asked if he would reevaluate FSU's QB situation, he answered as follows: "I'm always reevaluating things. I'm always reevaluating things. I told you, we had two good quarterbacks. I said it before. We have two guys that can play and win and can play games. Everett's health, we still got to get to that and see where things are. We'll go from there."

It certainly sounds like the battle to be QB1 may be reopened at Florida State. Who do you think deserves the nod? You can tally your vote below, and explain your rationale in the comments section.
