Update: FSU comes in at No. 16 in the latest CFP rankings, the same spot the 'Noles held last week.
Tonight at 7 PM EST, the College Football Playoff committee will release their weekly rankings.
Florida State already found out their fate in the AP and coaches polls on Sunday, moving down to 19th and 18th respectively, giving an idea on where the committee may put them. Coming into the week #16, it would seem that Florida State's ranked will be heavily influenced by Clemson's #1 rank, as opposed to their third rank in the AP and fifth in the coaches poll. The teams behind the 'Noles to lose were #18 Ole Miss #19 TAMU and #24 Toledo, giving Florida State at least two positions higher than they would had those teams won.
The Seminoles should fall about the equivalent to where they had in the other two polls, which is around #18 or #19 as none of the teams behind them had great quality wins.
The College Football Playoff rankings are released at 7 PM EST each week, after the AP and coaches polls are announced.
