Warrick Dunn headlines sod talk prior to Florida State vs. NC State game

Former Florida State RB Warrick Dunn was the guest speaker at sod talk prior to the FSU vs. NC State game.

All-time FSU great Warrick Dunn returned to Tallahassee this weekend to speak at the sod talk. He discussed his playing career, starting from why he chose Florida State, ending up to his days in professional football with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcon, who he owns a share of.

In his career at FSU, Dunn hold multiple records including all-time rushing yards, most rushing yards in a season, most 100-yard rushing games, and most career all-purpose yards. One of those records fell earlier today when Dalvin Cook eclipsed Dunn's single season record of 1242 yards.

Throughout his segment, Dunn spoke about his playing career at Florida State, and his relationship he built with his roommate, teammate and mentor, Charlie Ward. He even reenacted his historic run on 3rd and 10 against Florida. He summed up by talking about his charity work, in which he gets single parents, both mothers and fathers, into their own home, filling their houses with food, furniture, televisions, and much more.

Sod talk occurs 90 minutes before each Florida State Seminole home game in front of the sod cemetery. Previous headliners this season included Ron Simmons, Tay Cody, and Pat Carter.
