Update: Florida State moves to #16 in the AP Poll, View the full poll here.
Following a 34-17 win over NC State, Florida State will more then likely be rewarded with a bump up in the polls.
The 'Noles entered the AP Poll at #19 this weekend, and will likely move up as five teams ahead of them lost, including #4 Baylor, #7 Stanford, #9 LSU, #10 Utah, and #18 UCLA. With #16 Houston, #17 UNC having quality wins, combined with the large point differential between them and FSU in the poll, the Seminoles should move up one spot as Utah is unlikely to fall past #17, although possible.
Coming into week 11 of the college football season, FSU was ranked #18 in the coaches poll. The teams in front of them that lost were #13 Utah, #9 LSU, #7 Stanford, and #3 Baylor. However, due to the large gap in rank number between those teams and FSU, Utah is the only team that will fall behind the 'Noles, meaning a one spot gain for the Seminoles in the coaches poll as the most likely result.
FSU came into the weekend ranked highest in the College Football Playoff rankings at #16. It was a crazy day as #6 Baylor, #7 Stanford, #9 LSU and #10 Utah all lost. That isn't the end of it however, as #15 TCU defeated a 0-10 Kansas team by six at home and #14 Michigan had to go to double overtime in order to defeat Indiana. Due to the poor margin of victories over sub-par opponents, the 'Noles should jump both of the teams. Additionally, Utah and LSU may fall behind FSU, which could put the Seminoles as high as 12 by the end of the day, however, expect them to wind up at either #13 or #14.
