Chris Spielman has FSU's Jalen Ramsey at the top of his 2016 NFL Draft board

The Florida State cornerback has drawn some lofty praise-- and that continued on Saturday.

There was a lot of noise surrounding FSU's Saturday matchup with Syracuse. After the Seminoles' last-second loss to Georgia Tech the previous week, some of it was negative, naturally. But College-Football Hall-of-Fame-inductee Chris Spielman, who enjoyed an All-Pro career in the NFL, had some glowing words to share about Florida State's All-American defensive back Jalen Ramsey during Florida State's 45-21 romp over Syracuse.

After observing Ramsey, Spielman addressed Todd McShay and his "Big Board" that placed Ohio State's Joey Bosa, Mississippi's Robert Nkemdiche, and Florida's Vernon Hargreaves III ahead of Ramsey as prospective NFL Draft picks. Spielman sees it differently, regarding Ramsey:

"If I had a big board, he'd be No. 1 on mine. . . . He can play safety, he can play nickel, and he can play corner. He's that viable."

After the performance of the Ramsey-led FSU defense vs. 'Cuse, McShay actually conceded, moving Ramsey up from No. 4 to No. 3, evidently ahead of UF's Hargreaves. McShay's rationale: "He's one of the most complete, all-around defensive backs that I've ever evaluated." The conversation included a comparison of Ramsey to current pro Patrick Peterson.
