News, notes, and observations from the day's Florida State practice.

It's Florida week, and the Seminoles returned to the practice complex in preparation for their trip to Gainesville. It was a vocal day on the practice field, as the 'Noles worked out in brisk temperatures in the mid 50s.

Injured/Absent:

Ro'Derrick Hoskins did not participate and wore a left knee brace while exhibiting a pronounced limp. Mario Pender was not at practice. Mavin Saunders remains out, but stretched individually.

Offense:

Sean Maguire's back issues appear to have lingered. As he was before the NC State game, Maguire again was bending over after throws, as if to stretch something in his lower back, and being tended to by a trainer. His accuracy fluctuated as well. Despite the fact that J.J. Cosentino played ahead of Everett Golson on Saturday, Golson nevertheless took throws ahead of the former. And Deondre Francois, while present and dressed, was not making throws, aside from a light warm-up.

After being held out of Saturday's action with a bone bruise, George Campbell practiced today, in a right knee brace, as did Freddie Stevenson and Johnathan Vickers, who wore non-contact jerseys. Dalvin Cook did not seem to show any repercussions from tweaking his ankle vs. UTC.

The OL ones: Rod Johnson, Kareem Are, Alec Eberle, Wilson Bell, and Chad Mavety, although Brock Ruble was working in with the ones at RT, despite stretching as a two. The other twos, left to right: Ethan Frith, David Robbins, Corey Martinez, and Joshua Peters.

Defense:

Chris Casher returned to practice after not dressing for the Chattanooga game, while Reggie Northrup donned a non-contact jersey.

Up Next:

We'll speak with some players after practice, and the the media will be allowed to view a segment of practice tomorrow as well.
