Florida State's ranking in the college football polls: AP, USA Today Coaches, CFP

Find out where Florida State is ranked once the polls are released later today.

Update:

The Seminoles jump to No. 9 in the Coaches Poll and No. 10 in the AP poll.

After a great end to the season with win number 10 and a victory over UF at Gainesville, FSU will jump up heavily in all the polls this week.

The 'Noles were ranked #13 in this week's College Football Playoff Rankings before defeating #12 Florida, and holding them to two points. Fortunately for Florida State, aside from #12 Florida losing, #11 Oklahoma State, #10 Michigan, #7 Baylor and #6 Notre Dame all lost. Despite Baylor and Notre Dame being ranked much higher, the quality win at Gainesville should be enough to leap frog all five of those teams, meaning FSU could be ranked as high as #8, a five spot jump.

The AP poll wont rise Florida State as many rankings as the CFP as they started the week at #14. However, Florida was ranked higher at #10, which means the value of the win would be much higher. Along with Florida, #12 Michigan, #9 Oklahoma State, and #7 Baylor are the other losing teams that the 'Noles should jump, placing them at #10.

Just as in the AP, FSU entered the week at #14 in the USA Today coaches poll. Opponent Florida was ranked the highest of any three polls at #9. Besides them, T#12 Michigan, #10 Oklahoma State and #7 Baylor are the teams the Seminoles should jump, which would put them at #10.

In the end, Florida State is in a great position to end the season and should more than likely wind up in a New Years Six bowl.
