Florida State gained another commitment Saturday following Junior Day, picking up Army All-American kicker Kevin Robledo as a preferred walk-on.
Robledo, out of Thousand Oaks California, is former teammates with FSU QB commit Malik Henry and looks forward to reuniting.
"I just committed to FSU, I'm going to be a Seminole," Robledo said. "We've been teammates for the past couple years and now we're just going to continue to be friends. I think it'll be good to work with him. He told me I would love it, and I did. I will call him now."
FSU's staff apparently liked Robledo's leg strength and potential to grow. He spent time with current FSU kicker Roberto Aguayo, getting a feel for what it's like kicking at FSU.
"We talked for a while and he gave me a lot of information," Robledo said. "He's a really cool guy and I'm looking forward to working with him. I came from a school where the kicker before me was an All-American and the kicker before him was even better, so I guess I've always been at a school with good kickers so it shouldn't be a problem."
