The ACC released its spring prospectus to the media Tuesday and there are some very interesting stats about Jimbo Fisher.
"Fisher’s five-year record of 58-11 ranks second in winning percentage after five seasons only to the man he succeeded at FSU, Bobby Bowden (54-6-1)," it notes. Though Fisher was rebuilding the Seminoles during his early years and Bowden had already elevated the program by the time it joined the ACC.
"Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, who has won 58 games in his first five years as a head coach, leads the nation in wins per season among head coaches with fve or more years of experience. Fisher’s total gives him an average of 11.60 wins per year, just ahead of Washington’s Chris Peterson, who is averaging 11.11 victories a year."
To stay above the 11-win mark per year, Fisher will need to lead FSU to at least eight victories in 2015.
Fisher is also the only coach in ACC history to win 90 percent of his conference home games. His team has also never lost a home game to a division opponent.
