Can the ACC end Final Four drought?

Open thread for Sunday's NCAA tournament games

If the ACC wants to be known as the college basketball conference, then regular appearances in the Final Four would be a good place to start. But the league hasn't featured a Final Four team in five years. Making deep runs into the tourney is important for all ACC teams, not just financially, but also by making the league a destination for top high school players much the same way the SEC works for football.

Yesterday, Notre Dame had a chance to break the seal, but their inability to defend cost them down the stretch when Kentucky scored on 12 of their final 15 possessions.

Today, the ACC gets two more chances.

Louisville tips with Michigan State at 2:20. And Duke takes on Gonzaga at 5:05. Michigan State and Duke are both small favorites.
