Florida State safety out for spring with torn meniscus

Starting safety Tyler Hunter will miss the remainder of spring.

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher added a name to the list of players out for the spring Saturday morning, announcing the loss of starting safety Tyler Hunter.

"He's got a torn Meniscus in his knee," Fisher said when asked if Hunter was okay. "He'll have surgery and be back in six weeks or so."

With Hunter out, Ryan Green and Marquez White took first team reps at corner with Jalen Ramsey moving back to the star position. Nate Andrews and Lamarcus Brutus held down the safety positions.

FSU was missing 21 different bodies during Saturday's practice - a number of which are out for the spring. The only upside to an injury bug hitting a team is an injury bug hitting a team during the spring.

These players will have plenty of time to recover. But for now, reps for the others.
