This list has been compiled over the last few weeks and will be updated through game time Saturday.
Update 9am: The Nation's No. 1 receiver Nate Craig-Myers will be visiting. NCM is out of Tampa Catholic and is an Auburn commitment.
It all starts at the QB position where Florida State's Malik Henry is visiting for the first time since he transferred to IMG. A 5-star QB and a FSU Class of 2016 commitment from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy, Henry plays at 6'3, 188-pounds and is one of the best in the country. He'll be able to talk with fellow members of #Tribe16 and recruit uncommitted players to Florida State as well. He'll be joined by 2018 target Joey Gatewood, a 6'3, 206-pound dual-threat in the Class of 2018 from Jacksonville (Fla.) Bartram Trail High School. He has offers from nine different universities including the Noles.
And they'll be talking with Keith Gavin, a 4-star prospect from Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla High School, is the No. 35 WR in the Class of 2016, per 247sports.com, with 13 offers. Gavin has been committed to FSU for over a year. 2017 receiver Emmanuel Greene, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is a 4-star Class of 2017 wideout at IMG Academy who will also be attending. The 5'9, 165-pound WR has offers from Ohio State, Florida and FSU among others.
Tight end Isaac Nauta is the premier TE prospect in the Class of 2016 from Buford, (Ga.) but is now at the IMG Academy. The 6'4, 237-pound Nauta fielded offers from 30+ schools but will end up playing for the Noles, and he'll be recruiting for them this weekend.
Offensive lineman Baveon Johnson is the No. 2 rated center per 247sports.com in the Class of 2016 from Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson High School. Johnson is the only O-Line commit in the Class of 2016 for FSU.
Defense
Florida State has an impressive list of defenders coming up.
The leader of a large group of DL commitments is Janarius Robinson, a 4-star FSU Commitment in the Class of 2016 from Panama City (Fla.) Bay High School, ranked as the No. 3 weak-side DE on Rivals.com, and Keir Thomas, a 6'1.5, 238-pound 3-star DE in the Class of 2016 from Miami Central High School, who committed to FSU in February over Alabama. Four-star commit Josh Bown, of Charlotte (NC) will be there and was at Thursday's practice. Defensive tackle Cedric Wood is a 4-star 6'4, 285-pound FSU Commitment in the Class of 2016 from Tallahassee (Fla.) Amos P. Godby High School, while Ja'len Parks is a 6'4, 275-pound 4-star DT in the class of 2017. The Newberry High School (Fla.) product committed to FSU after his freshman year.
To that, FSU wants to add some targets.
Shavar Manuel is a 6'5, 262-pound athletic marvel in the Class of 2016 from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. FSU is competing with multiple SEC heavyweights to snag the the 5-star talent, and we project him to the FSU. It would not be a surprise if he committed this weekend. Marlon Davidson, a 5-star strong-side defensive end from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver High School, will also be in town. He has has competing offers from in-state Alabama and Auburn in addition to FSU. We do not believe FSU has much of a shot, but he will be attending. Malik Herring will have back-to-back unofficial visits with the Seminoles who have made an offer to the 4-star pass rusher. The 6'3, 255-pound weak-side defensive end is the No. 1 recruit at his position in the Class of 2017. And Xavier Thomas, an impressive 2018 defensive end from Florence (SC), is also making the trip. Film of Thomas below.
FSU also has an impressive group of linebacker commits and targets on the way.
Commits: Emmett Rice recently committed to play for the Noles and is a 4-star recruit in the Class of 2016 by way of Norland High School (Fla.). Rice had 18 sacks his junior year at 6'3, 195-pounds. Jamal Couch committed to FSU in March as a 3-star OLB recruit in the Class of 2016. He is a hulking linebacker at 6'4".
Targets: Lyndell Wilson is a 5-star stud recruit in the Class of 2016 from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver High School. Both 'Bama and Auburn are the Noles primary competition to land Wilson, and FSU does not seem to have a great chance. Ben Davis is another 5-star recruit and the No.1 rated OLB in the state of Alabama in the Class of 2016. Davis has serious interest from both FSU and several SEC schools, but his dad is the leading tackler in the Tide's history, and everyone expects him to pick Alabama.
The secondary features rather light on targets Commit Jamel Cook is another Miami defector who decided to commit to the Seminoles. The 4-star safety also plays cornerback and will compete in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Targets: Cornerback Nigel Knott of Madison (Miss) Germantown High School will be checking it out. He has offers from all over the Southeast and seems quite open. Knott is a 4-star in the class of 2015. Stanford Samuels III is a 5-star lockdown corner in the Class of 2017 from Hollywood (Fla.) Charles W. Flanagan High School. He has 30 total offers, with Georgia and the Noles as the favorites, and is an FSU legacy. Ahman Ross has both FSU and Miami in a recruiting war over the safety from Jacksonville (Fla.) The Bolles School. Ross is a 5'11, 185-pound ball hawk in the Class of 2017. Tyreke Johnson is a 6'1 175-pound ATH in the Class of 2018 from Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy High School. He has offers from FSU and Clemson among others and his brother is Florida State QB De'Andre Johnson.
