Kyle Meyers, a cornerback recruit for the class of 2016 out of New Orleans (La.) Holy Cross, has committed to Florida State, according to his Twitter account.
"I want to thank god that I am very blessed to say I have committed to Florida State University. I feel that Florida State is the perfect fit for me both athletically and academically. I want to thank all the coaches who offered me a scholarship and for believing in my abilities. I can't wait to become apart of Nole Nation," Meyers tweeted.
Meyers is 6'0, 170, and also holds offers from Clemson, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. He is rated as a three-star recruit; though his rating has been rising with 247Sports having him as a four-star recruit.
Meyers earned his offer at Florida State camp Thursday and checks in at 6'0 and 170 pounds (verified). He posted a 37.3" vertical jump and a 101.76 SPARQ rating at the New Orleans Nike Camp. He also ran a 4.53 40-yard dash, which while not blazing, is quite fast when put into context: it was the fifth-fastest time in the entire camp.
He is the 18th commitment of the Florida State class of 2016.
I spoke with coach Demetric Warren, of Varsity Preps, about Meyers.
"Bud, he's a stud! Great hips, good feet and fast! FSU got a steal today," Warren said.

"I think he's sensational. Really fast and aggressive and a bulldog mentality," said Jimmy Smith, of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.
