Hiring a video coordinator for a college team typically isn't a newsworthy event. Unless, of course, that video coordinator has been a head coach for the past two decades.
FSU's Leonard Hamilton has hired former SEMO HC Dickey Nutt as Video Coordinator/Player Development, source told @CBSSports.

While the story was announced today, this has been in the works for a few weeks. The holdup could have been contractual, as Nutt still had two years on his contract at Southeast Missouri.
So how does this work? The primary point of interest is that Nutt is not one of the designated assistant coaches, and so he cannot recruit off campus.
He can, however, recruit on campus during recruit visits. He'll also help with player development.
Hiring established coaches into positions like this is unusual, and is generally limited to blue blood programs. But hey, Ham is on a roll.
Coach Hamilton and Coach Nutt go way back, as Nutt was an assistant to Hamilton at Oklahoma State 30 years ago.
