Florida State Seminoles and the Major League Baseball Draft

The 2015 MLB Amateur Draft could have a big impact on what the Florida State Seminoles baseball team might look next season. Keep up to date with all of the players drafted over the next three days.

Tonight is the start of the MLB Amateur draft which includes the first round, Competitive Balance Round A, second round and Competitive Balance Round B. Tuesday are rounds 3-10 with the draft wrapping up on Wednesday with the final 30 rounds. SBNation has put together a good list of how to watch and who to follow.

A current player's name you will absolutely hear tonight is superstar outfielder DJ Stewart who is going to be a first round draft pick. Other underclassmen who could possibly have their name called in rounds 4-10 or on Wednesday include John Sansone, Mike Compton, Dylan Silva and Boomer Biegalski. There are a handful of seniors who might also be drafted later this week and they include Josh Delph, Chris Marconcini, Danny De La Calle, Billy Strode and Bryant Holtmann.

The Seminoles have two extremely talented players committed to this year's class, problem is they will almost certainly sign and start their professional careers. Brendan Rodger, a SS from Lake Mary and Daz Cameron, an OF from Georgia and son of former big leaguer Mike Cameron, can expect to have their names called withing the first 10 picks tonight. Other commits to keep an eye over the next couple of days are Cole Sands (RHP - BA Rank 79), Justin Cohen (C - BA Rank 290), Jackson Lueck (C - BA Rank 426), Tyrone Perry (1B - BA Rank 430) and Tyler Holton (LHP, BA Rank 498).

You can follow online for players from Florida State in this link. If you are curious to what type a money a player can expect to make based on where they're drafted you can find out what the allotted slot is here. Coverage starts on MLBTV starting at 6PM and the draft starts at 7PM.
