Florida State will also play two additional games at the Paradise Jam.
Nov 15: Nicholls State
Open the season with an RPI killer. Woohoo! Nicholls State will be terrible.
Nov 17: Jacksonville
Hey, another awful team.
Nov 20: Hofstra (Paradise Jam)
Now we're talking. The Paradise Jam features several solid teams, though no big names.
Nov 21: South Carolina/Depaul (Paradise Jam)
Hopefully we'll be in the winner's bracket
Nov 22: TBD (Paradise Jam)
Ideal opponent is Tulsa
Dec 2: at Iowa
On the road against a team that is going to do some serious damage in the Big Ten.
Dec 6: VCU (Atlanta)
No more Shaka Smart, but they'll still be good.
Dec 13: SE Louisiana
The third potential RPI killer. Not particularly thrilled about this.
Dec 16: Mississippi State
Will be much improved over last year, and will feature one-and-done Malik Newman.
Dec 19: FAU (Miami)
I'll have to trust that 2nd year coach Mike Curry has them headed on an upward trend. Otherwise, another awful awful team.
Dec 21: Charleston Southern
Decent last year, but lost everyone. Could be terrible.
Dec 29: at Florida
Great, ANOTHER RPI killer. Alright, not really. FSU's first look at the post Billy Donovan era.
Overall Impression
There is potential for at least seven games against top 100 or so teams. That's fantastic and will be the best top end ooc FSU has had in several years. But the RPI killers don't do the Noles any favors. Probably need to be heading into ACC play with two losses max to be in prime position, and three to still be feeling okay.
