July means offseason projections, and that includes preseason all-conference teams. And, as usual, a number of Seminoles have made the preseason All-ACC team, which was voted on at the recently concluded ACC Kickoff event in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Florida State's preseason all-conference selections are offensive tackle Roderick Johnson, linebacker Terrance Smith, cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and kicker Roberto Aguayo. Only Clemson, with five, had more honorees than FSU's four (Virginia Tech also had four).
This is a stark contrast to last season, when the 'Noles led the way with nine selections, as well as 2013, when Florida State had an ACC-high six players chosen. FSU did have four players picked prior to both the 2012 and 2011 seasons, but that was still good enough to tie for most in the conference. The last time the Seminoles did not have (or tie for) the most All-ACC selections was 2010, when UNC's five dwarfed Florida State's two.
