High School football started up this week for many teams. We will try and recap the performances of current recruits and potential targets for the Noles. As always, if you know of anything we missed, let us know in the comments.

Last year at Trinity Christian, it was often the DeAndre Johnson show with DJ Matthews, a 2017 commit, being one of his main targets. This year, Matthews looks to continue where he left off last year. Matthews had over 100 yards receiving in Trinity Christian's 49-6 victory over Trinity Catholic. He ended the night with touchdown catches of 7 and 29 yards.

Wide receiver target, Nate Craig-Myers, showed out on both sides of the ball in Tampa Catholic's 45-16 win over Indian Rocks Christian. Craig-Myers had a 38 yard touchdown reception and also returned an interception 85 yards for the score.

Linebacker target, Keion Joyner, helped lead the Havelock defense to a 41-6 victory over New Bern. Joyner had 8 tackles and 1 sack.

2017 defensive back target, Stanford Samuels III, stepped up to play Quarterback in Flanagan's 35-7 win over Douglas. Samuels tossed 2 touchdowns and ran for 2 more. He ended the night with over 200 yards passing. Linebacker target, Devin Bush Jr., helped the defense hold Douglas to 117 total yards.

2018 Quarterback target, Joey Gatewood, split QB duties with Jordan Smith in Bartram Trail's 31-16 defeat of Bishop Kenny. Gatewood played the first half and was 8/10 with 1 touchdown pass.

Running back commit, Amir Rasul, ended his night with 71 yards rushing on 20 carries in Coral Gables 14-12 win over Carol City. Rasul had a key first down run to help run out the clock at the end of the game.

Those are the current stats and info that we have for this week. Keep checking back for all the updates on #Tribe16 and the future.
