Florida State Baseball MLB Update: Week 16

The 16th installment of a weekly look around the MLB at the performances of former Florida State Baseball players.

There were plenty of roster moves made this week, once again shaking up the current FSU alumni MLB roster. Buster Posey also continues to bring his name into the MVP talk with his outstanding performance recently, with no end in sight. Overall, it was a relatively quiet week for all. The full rundown can be seen below.

Devon Travis 2B Toronto Blue Jays:

Travis continued to nurse a shoulder injury on the disabled list, with recent reports stating this may be a lengthy stint.

Season to date: 62 G .304 AVG 8 HR 35 RBI .361 OBP .498 SLG

Tyler Holt OF Cleveland Indians:

Holt was optioned to AAA Columbus after Saturday's game. He went 1-9 while up in the majors.

Season to date: 9 G .100 AVG 0 HR 0 RBI .143 OBP .100 SLG

Randy Choate RP St. Louis Cardinals:

Choate appeared in two games, pitching 2/3 of an inning while striking out one. He did not allow a hit or walk.

Season to date: 55 G 23 IP 3.91 ERA 1 S 16 K 1.09 WHIP

Shane Robinson OF Minnesota Twins:

Robinson went 3-10 last week with a double. He added two runs and only struck out once. Although an outfielder, Robinson has been fielding grounders at short stop pre-game recently.

Season to date: 64 G .252 AVG 0 HR 13 RBI .295 OBP .331 SLG

Sean Gilmartin RP New York Mets:

Gilmartin made extended appearances this week, going one and two innings respectively. He struck out one and only walked one without giving up a run.

Season to date: 36 G 34 2/3 IP 2.08 ERA 31 K 1.18 WHIP

Stephen Drew 2B New York Yankees:

Its time for everyone's favorite part of the updates. Drew did not disappoint, going 3-14 with a double, triple, and 4 RBIs. He is 0 for his last 9 however.

Season to date: 94 G .192 AVG 13 HR 32 RBI .261 OBP .378 SLG

Buster Posey C San Fransisco Giants:

10 hits this week for the former MVP, not much more he can do. Posey added a homer and six RBIs, raising his batting average to a season high .332.

Season to date: 103 G .332 AVG 16 HR 75 RBI .391 OBP .505 SLG
