- Wayne McGahee, publisher for Nole Digest, did a lot of research to analyze what Dalvin Cook will need to do to win the Heisman. With quarterbacks winning 13 of the last 15 Heismans, it would take a massive, season-long effort for Cook to bring home the first non-QB Heisman in Florida State history. That being said, I doubt that many people will count him out, considering his effectiveness in the first two games of the season.
- Brendan Sonnone of the Orlando Sentinel details Jimbo Fisher's expectation that Mavin Saunders will make a larger impact as the season goes on. Although Izzo is still practicing after his injury last weekend, Saunders may need to play a bigger part as soon as Boston College
- Safid Deen, FSU beat writer for the Tallahassee Democrat, relives Ro'Derrick Hoskins' impressive performance in Saturday's win over USF. If Hoskins can string together a few solid performances, that will go a long way towards helping a seemingly shallow linebacker unit.
- Value Penguin recently unveiled the results from their study of the most cost effective college football programs of the past decade. Florida State was evaluated as the 9th-most cost effective program and the 3rd-most cost effective of the "large" programs.
Recruiting: Tuesday morning, a pair of Florida State experts made their crystal ball predictions for 2016 4* CB Trayvon Mullen. Both Bud Elliott of Tomahawk Nation and Chris Nee of Noles247 predicted Mullen to FSU within hours of each other. With Jalen Ramsey likely gone after this season, Mullen could have an instant impact at Florida State, should he choose the Seminoles.
