Read to find out. Note: there are certain schematic and tendency things we do not discuss in these reviews out of respect for our sources, the school and coaching staff.

AT first glance this appears to be a really poorly designed play. Two things happen here. First USF catches FSU in a blitz, second, somebody blew the coverage on the backside. Jimbo says it was on the backer to take the RB on the route...but both 5 and 24 were coming on a blitz. This was on Marshall IMO. WIth the backers blitzing and Ramsey taking the crosser, Marshall should have stayed home. INstead he gets caught up in the playside clearouts and sets the running back free for the easy throw back and touchdown. Honestly, USF called the perfect play in agaisnt the blitz call. It happens. |
