Florida State football: Opponent Recap - Week 4

Updates on Florida State football opponents are ordered as they appear(ed) on FSU's schedule.

- In a surprise to no one, Texas State got blown out by Houston 59-14.

- South Florida had a bye this week.

- Boston College edged out NIU 17-14. BC's defense is proving to be quite the unit continuing to hold offenses well below their season averages. Also Flutie!!!!

- Wake Forest (Week 5, 10/3) rallied in the 4th quarter but the Deacons were unable to tie the game after recovering an onside kick. In his first start Kendall Hinton performed admirably but did not get much help from his offensive line.

- Miami (Week 6, 10/10) had a bye in preparation for Cincinnati on Thursday.

- Louisville (Week 7, 10/17) finally got a win beating Samford 45-3. At this point Louisville needs to gather confidence from wherever it can.

- Georgia Tech (Week 8, 10/24) was physically dominated by Duke to the tune of a 34-20 loss. The Jackets' special teams were not particularly helpful either.

- Clemson had a bye.

- Syracuse (Week 9, 10/31) hung tough with LSU but ultimately melted under the weight of Leonard Fournette 34-24. It was an impressive outing considering the Orange started a walk on at quarterback.

- NC State (Week 11, 11/14) beat South Alabama 63-13. Just like last season the Wolfpack finish their OOC schedule 4-0 but will it pay dividends during the conference schedule?

- Chattanooga (Week 12, 11/21) handled Presbyterian College 21-0. The win snapped a losing streak for the Mocs.

- Florida (Week 13, 11/28) came from behind to beat Tennessee 28-27. The Gators are ranked! SEC! SEC! SEC!
