The 'Noles will need a lot to go their way to make it to the playoffs in 2015. There are a lot of new faces on the field that will need to know their assignments and make plays. That means a different set of expectations than the last two years.  Texas State is a well coached team that will provide FSU with a solid opening opponent to work out some kinks. Goals: get better, stay healthy, get the backups in by the 4th quarter.

Other Games:

You know the drill. First week of the season means a lot of tune up games. Stanford at Northwestern is likely to be the best bet for the noon slot. Stanford is an 11 point favorite on the road. As you can see below, the early ACC games aren't great. Watch at your own risk.

The afternoon ACC games, however, are certainly worth tuning into. Louisville travels to Auburn. Auburn is ranked number 6. Upset? Perhaps there's a chance. The Cardinals will need some luck to take the win as an 11 point dog on the road. Virginia is also on the road to UCLA. Last year, UVA had a chance to win against UCLA. Perhaps this year? Unlikely, as the Hoos are a 19 point dog.

For now, FSU has a shot at the playoffs. Make sure you are cheering for the right teams to fail. Also, check out the best bets of week 1.
