We opened up discussing the proper perspective to have -- the realization that Texas State's defense is trash. Even when FSU's offense made mistakes, the Bobcats defense couldn't take advantage.
We then discussed quarterback Everett Golson. What parts of his performance were as good as his numbers indicated, and what parts were not quite there?
Then we have tons of good things to say about the running backs. Basically zero negatives. This is a dominant group and Jimbo Fisher is clearly trying to establish a mindset in his team that the running backs must be the focus of the offense and will be expected to carry the offense. Then there is some discussion of the offensive line and the tight ends, which is mostly positive.
Finally, we end on a down note and have to discuss the offensive line -- a group that made plenty of mistakes. And now it plays a much better defensive line in USF. Right guard played fairly well, we thought, but center and right tackle are going to be issues against decent or better defensive lines if they do not improve. We end on user questions.
