Top FSU hoops recruits lock in official visit dates

It's going to be a big weekend

John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State currently has the No. 1 ranked 2016 recruiting class in the nation, and yes, we're talking about basketball. With three players committed, FSU is looking to add 2-3 more.

Last year Florida State set up a major weekend when the staff had Dwayne Bacon, Malik Beasley, and Jean Marc Christ Koumadje on campus at the same time. We know how that turned out.

Now, FSU is looking for a repeat of that successful plan. Today, 4* commit Trent Forrest confirmed via Twitter that he will soon be in Tallahassee.

Currently, there are three other recruits who will be on campus the same weekend: 5* SF Jonathan Isaac (FSU commit), 5* PF Dewan Huell, and 4* combo guard Brandon Robinson.

Huell, who the staff is visiting today, will be at FSU the week between his visits to Miami and South Carolina. Brandon Robinson, meanwhile, cancelled his visit to Maryland and they are apparently out of the running. He's visited Louisville already, and will be at Georgia Tech this weekend. He'll also likely visit North Carolina at some point.

One of the highlights of their visit will be watching FSU football play in-state rival Miami (who FSU has beaten 5 straight and 8 of 10, btw).
